Having a baby can be peaceful and fulfilling. We'll show you how.

Often mothers feel themselves just making it through the day during their postpartum. I believe that postpartum can be a time to thrive rather than survive.

Eden was magic with our premature baby, and was able to soothe her to sleep longer stretches at night than we could ourselves.

FAQ

  • Who are these courses for?

If you are a mom, are going to be a mom, or know a mom these courses will be a great asset to you! The three are designed to educate on your preparation for postpartum, thriving through the fourth trimester (the first three months postpartum), and giving you a better understanding of postpartum if you are trying to find ways to support your postpartum friends.

  • What can you expect from this course?

These courses are designed to educate, but in a way that invites critical thinking and decision-making for what will be the best options for your family specifically. Postpartum does not look the same for everyone, and I want to give families all the tools to set them up for success, and then let them decide which tools they will actually want to use.

  • In what order should I watch these?

If your baby has not arrived, I would recommend beginning with the How to Care for New Moms to give you some basic tools on how to communicate with your care team postpartum. From there the Before Baby Arrives section will give you helpful information on how to interview providers and other tools that will help set yourself up for success physically as well as emotionally. The longest series, The Frist Few Months, can definitely be started before your baby arrives and is also a great tool if your baby has already arrived and you are feeling you could use more information on how to have a smooth postpartum.

  • Do I have to watch every video?

You do not! But I would recommend it, as some of this information even I didn’t learn until years after beginning as a postpartum doula. There are some sections such as How to Change a Diaper that may seem very basic, I have taught those exact methods to families on their third child and they couldn’t believe they hadn’t learned it sooner. As you watch you are welcome to hop around and watch videos as they are pertinent to your situation.

  • Will you be coming out with anything else?

Yes! Look for The First Five Years which will be released in the Spring of 2025 and go over how to best support the development of your children while practicing conscious parenting.

  • Can I work with you in person?

I have limited availability for in person postpartum doula work. I encourage you to visit everybirthmatters.com/eden and message me there.

The course that started it all.

Those first weeks after baby arrives may be the most challenging a mother will ever face. How To Care For New Moms was our very first package, and it's for new mothers or those who love a new mother.
